Crocodile Cardigan Knitting Pattern

The Crocodile Cardigan is a top down sweater with a special focus on texture. It is worked in stockinette stitch and a fantasy stitch that is super easy to knit. As you make progress, you’ll start to see how the unique texture appears effortlessly. It is almost seamless, you will only need to sew the sleeves. It is a very versatile piece that goes well with everything and is very comfy.

Skill level: Advanced beginner level. (This is an advanced-beginner level knitting pattern. In order to follow it you need to have the most basic notions of knitting, to know how to increase, decrease and to be able to follow the instructions to knit the fantasy stitch. The instructions are easy to read and follow).

Size: This pattern includes instructions for 3-6mo, 6-9mo, 9-12mo, 1-2yo, 2-3yo, 4yo, 6yo, 8yo, 10yo, 12yo sizes.

Chest circumference:45.5, (48), 51, (53), 58, (64), 68, (70), 73, (78)cm. 18, (19), 20, (21), 22¾, (25¼), 26¾, (27½), 28¾, (30¾) inches.

With an approximate ease of 3cm.

Needles: 3.25 mm (U.S 3, U.K 10), 3.5 mm (U.S. 4 : UK -) and 4 mm (U.S. 6: UK 8) knitting needles or circular needles (60 or 80 cm).

Yarn: DK, 8 ply, 11 wpi. I used: DMC, Merino Essentiel (which contains 100 g = 250 m) Approximately according to size: 330yd (300m), 120 gr// 385yd (350m), 140 gr// 440yd (400m), 160 gr// 495yd (450m), 180 gr// 550yd (500m), 200gr// 605yd (550m), 220gr// 655yd (600m), 240gr// 755yd (688m), 275gr// 820yd (750m), 300gr// 1095yd (1000m), 400 gr.
